My Biography
.......Frank Lane was born
in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1940, and spent his childhood
and adolescence in Bethesda, Maryland. He graduated from
the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science
degree.
.......The
first milestone in his medical education was earning a
medical degree from the Temple University School in Philadelphia;
the second, completing an internship at Tampa General
Hospital. Further education includes the study of internal
medicine at the University of Missouri Medical Center
in Columbia, Missouri, and at the University of Miami's
Jackson Memorial Hospital. He served his residency at
Tampa General Hospital.
.......While
serving as a medical Consultant at Letterman Army Hospital
in San Francisco, he chose to specialize in Hematology
and Oncology. For three years, Dr. Lane studied and conducted
research in Hematology at the University of Washington
Medical Center in Seattle. In 1974, he returned to Tampa
to establish his medical practice.
.......Dr.
Lane is board-certified in internal medicine and in the
specialty of Hematology. He is board-eligible in Oncology.
He is listed in the Who's Who for both the United States
and International Professionals.
.......In
an effort to serve a broad segment of the community, he
maintains privileges at many area hospitals. He is an
active staff member at Brandon, Memorial, St. Joseph's
and Tampa General Hospitals. He has courtesy privileges
at UCH-Carrollwood and South Bay Hospitals.
.......As
a physician, Dr. Lane recognizes the importance of being
knowledgeable in current research and future treatments
in his fields of specialty. He devotes a significant portion
of the year to medical education. Dr. Lane is an active
member of the state and county medical associations, as
well as the American Society of Hematology, the American
Society of Clinical Oncology, the Florida soceity of Clinical
Oncology and the International Soceity of Hematology.
.......Dr.
Lane and his wife Deborah Ann, a registered nurse, make
their home in Beach Park.
